Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from my DJ?
You can expect a complete and thorough planning of your reception entertainment and style format. At the time of booking, you will receive a wedding reception form and a sample song list to help you plan your music selections and order of events. The DJ will meet with you and your fiancé 1-2 weeks before the wedding to go over all of the details. When you attend your final meeting, you can instruct your DJ on the "do's and don'ts" for your reception. You will be able to customize your very own play list and let your DJ know which songs you really want, or absolutely DO NOT want played. You may want your DJ to interact and have fun with your guests, or simply make the necessary announcements and let the music do the talking. The choice is yours. That is what we mean by "customized entertainment"..

Can we give you CD's to play at our reception?
YES! You are more than welcome to bring CD's that you want to have played. However, you may want to check if we already have it. We have a very extensive music library consisting of over 50,000 songs, and the entire collection is brought to every event we do!

Will you take requests from our guests?
Absolutely, positively and in all other words YES! If the Bride and Groom are agreeable, the DJ will invite guests to request songs throughout the reception (while taking note of your "do not play" list). The best events are the ones where the guests are able to get involved with the music. If you prefer to choose all of the music ahead of time, that's okay too. But keep in mind, that it is hard to please a crowd of over 150 guests with any one style.

Can we meet with you or see you live?
Meetings with clients are on an appointment basis only. You will be able to meet the DJ, discuss your ideas, and view our wedding demo DVD. If you would like to see a live performance we welcome you to stop by at any public event. We never invite potential clients to a private wedding reception as we would never invite anyone to your wedding. It is a courtesy we extend to our clients. We would be happy to let you know about other events where you can hear the quality of our sound systems and see your DJ in action!

What does 100% digital mean?
It means that all of the music is on compact disc or in digital MP3 format to provide the best sound quality available. We DO NOT, however, illegally download music from the internet. Every song in our database was at one time on a CD that we own or purchased through a legal website. We subscribe to several promotional music services for professional disc jockeys only. We receive all of the latest songs as they are released just like the local radio stations do. This is why we usually have a song before it is available for the general public to buy. In keeping with current technology and programs available to the professional disc jockey, we are making the transition from CDs to MP3s. We use the highest quality sound systems available and we are constantly updating our systems to be sure that they are the best. What this means to you is high quality, crisp, clear and clean sound at your event. No hissing or crackling noises. You will hear no complaints about the music being too loud at your event because our high quality sound systems do not need to be loud to sound good. The music will sound great at any volume.

How much do you charge?
Rates for 2008-2009 weddings in the central New England area are currently $700-$1250 (depending on number of hours, location and season). We offer hourly rates as well as full day bookings. Our full day booking is the most popular and best value. One price will secure your DJ for the entire day. The DJ will be available to you for up to 6 hours of entertainment with your event being the only event the DJ will perform at on that day. If you needto start early, or end later than planned, the DJ will professionally handle any changes necessary.

If your ceremony is being held at the same location as the reception, we can provide music for your ceremony too. We will set up an additional smaller sound system for your outdoor ceremony which includes a lapel microphone for the officiant to use. This will allow your guests to hear the vows. Our rates are all-inclusive and you will find no hidden fees once you have been quoted a price. We do offer discounted rates for weddings during off-peak times and events during the week. Rates for private parties and other events are quoted according to date, time and location. Call (508) 767-1173 or e-mail us for a quote.
