Grinding Dance Hints For The Beginner

by Kimberly Meleski

Has the dance craze hit your party scene yet. Trying to bust some grinding dance moves. If you've ever attempted this style of dance then you'll be all too familiar with how important it is you take the right approach. Get the first move wrong and you've probably had it. Not to mention the embarrassment that can be caused.

With that in mind you may want to take on board a some grinding dance tips to make sure you get it right from the get go.

A common mistake folks make is thinking that the purpose of getting some grinding dance maneuver going is a great pick up method. It's presumed to be a simpler method of engaging with a girl. Probably used if someone doesn't feel their chat up lines are up to scratch.

A common problem among blokes. One which can easily lead to them feeling embarrassed. Perhaps even frustrated if they don't know what they're doing wrong.

The thing is, this is a selected model of dance. Grind Dancing approaches are thought to be among the most intimate forms of dance. Therefore not every girl will appreciate this particular method of dance happening in their personal space.

This is a fairly simple step you can take to initiate the grind dancing style. It's a move that lets you move in gently for this style of dancing without your dancing partner feeling uneasy about it.

With that said, you should keep in mind when grind dancing that this is focused on the hips. No need for getting jiggy with fancy foot moves or the like. Emphasis is always on the hips.

When you only focus on the hips, things get a lot easier for dancing. You avoid the issue of standing on your partners toes for one thing. Which I'm sure you'll agree is going to destroy the mood this style of dance creates.

Anyhow, in order to gently ease into a grinding dance routine with a girl, (remember not all girls like this style of dance), you'll want to find out if it's ok to go on. To find this out, without putting a girl in an uncomfortable position...here's how to go about it.

Initiate this by starting face to face with the girl. Don't go straight in and start right away. Ease into it. The reason is what was mentioned earlier. Not all girls appreciate this dance style. So you first want to establish that point first. To do this just take her by the hand, right or left, and initiate a twirl. Sort of what you'll see from ballroom type dancing. Do this elegantly.

After that, you move when back is towards you. You should still have her hand in yours. The key here is to move in timely when your partner has only turned 180.

Now she's going to have her back to you. From here you'll know if she likes this dance as she'll start to grind dance with you rather than get all flustered at the idea.

Just by initiating that little spin move is all it takes to find out if a grinding style of dance moves are ok with her.

What happens by using this method is that you're creating a comforting feeling just by initiating that spin. This is because she now has her arms crossed across herself in a hugging position.

This kind of position is known to create a level of comfort.

At this point, keeping hand contact as well, start to ease into the grinding dance style. Emphasis on the hips, merely moving rhythmically to the beat and keeping in tandem with your dance partner too.

If at any point you sense a feeling of unease you just break out the grinding dance style similar to the way you started out.

This is done similar to the spin you used to begin with. Only reversing it this time. The other way to do this is to let go of the hand contact and gently take her by the shoulders to initiate the same sort of spin so she'll be face to face with you again.

By using this method you can easily avoid generating any sort of feeling of unease between you both.
