Choose The Triangle
Like many children, I was aggressively pushed into piano lessons at a young age. While learning how to play the piano as a child may have been a popular past time when I was growing up, not a great deal of continued the training into adulthood. Myself included.
Upon reaching puberty, pianos were out and electric guitars were in. Long days at the beach serenaded by the plucking of guitar strings and camping journeys accompanied by acoustic tunes made me hate the day my parents signed me up to learn to play the piano.
Moving ahead a few years nevertheless the regret of giving up this art form slowly crept up on me. With electronic music becoming more and more well-liked, I started wishing that my piano teacher had compelled me to continue, started having dreams about the career that could have been mine had I not put my piano up for sale so many years ago.
My old upright piano started appearing cool again, the craving for a new digital piano or electronic piano became stronger in my mind. Watching classic piano players and cool new keyboardist all of a sudden returned my long lost keenness for the piano.
I started to look at pianos for sale to see how much damage these piano prices would do to my student budget. As it turns out, the damage would be heavy. I all of a sudden understood why guitars were such a popular choice among budding young musicians and how the triangle might be a desirable instrument choice.
My eagerness once again had begun to dwindle. I put that expensive thought back in my dreams for the future bag, also with a twenty room multiple leveled castle in France, my red Lamborghini and my personal Richard Branson style tropical paradise. As it would appear, to buy a piano would see me go hungry for many months, if not years.
A lesson for mothers and fathers of babies, steer your youngsters toward the tambourine or bongo drums when selecting a musical instrument to learn..
